ONE WORD FOUR LETTERS

Let me tell you a story

not of people 

but of two souls

souls that yearned for each other 

the souls that fell for each other 

no, they were not perfect

they were the opposite 

of  who you see in stories

  

she is not me 

he is not you

they are us 

between me and you

in this world but together in theirs

they did not fall at the first sight

but after numerous fights

nagging their way through

but they stuck by  like glue sticks

they didn't need each other 

for they were complete on their own

they uniquely filled the gaps

neither knew had been void

she tripped he picked her up 

he fell she lifted him up

they complemented their supplementary 

 the pieces of the unknown puzzle had found each other

they would call each other silly names

talk like no  would understand 

people thought they were a mess

oh, they were, 

but the mess they liked

they burned like fire alone

but were the volcano together

the most complete incomplete souls 

found their piece

their shadows held hands

when the sun kissed their hearts

 

cuz one word, four letters

the twisted barks 

the beautiful flowers

the yellow-green leaves

they lived it all
